Thank You Robot is a practical guide to getting more out of the technology you already own.

Most people use a fraction of what their phone, computer, and apps can do. Useful features are buried in settings menus, privacy controls change with every update, and AI tools appear faster than anyone can evaluate them. We cut through that with clear, step-by-step guides that help you get something done in minutes, usually without buying anything new.

Who's behind it

Thank You Robot is run by Mike, a longtime tech founder who has spent his career building and launching software products. The site started in 2013 as a place to share the tech tricks friends kept asking about, and several contributors have written for it over the years.

How we work

• We test the steps we describe on real devices, and we note which operating system or app version a guide covers.
• We update guides when menus or features change, and we date those updates.
• We sometimes use AI tools to help with research and drafting. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a person before it's published.
• If you spot an error, tell us and we'll fix it.
